International Myeloma Workshop: the spirit of India and the emerging myeloma community

The 16th International Myeloma Workshop was held in New Delhi, India March 1-4. This gathering of those interested in myeloma from around the world was definitely a global amalgam. The format included multiple short presentations to encompass the full range of scientific and clinical topics.

Feedback from the large International Myeloma Workshop (IMW) meeting in Rome is still filtering in. There were around 3,000 attendees for this mini-ASH type symposium focused on myeloma. The event offers a comprehensive update for those not immersed in myeloma through their research or daily practice.

Bruno Paiva Wins Prestigious Young Investigator Award at the International Myeloma Workshop in Rome

During the “Rising Stars” session on Saturday, Sept. 26th at the International Myeloma Workshop (IMW) in Rome—co-chaired by IMW organizer Dr. Antonio Palumbo and myself—Dr. Bruno Paiva from the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain was awarded the newly established Bart Barlogie Young Investigator Award.

Highlights from the 14th International Myeloma Workshop

The IMF team has just returned from the International Myeloma Workshop (IMW) meeting in Kyoto, Japan, held from April 3rd through April 7th, 2013. The IMW was like a "mini-ASH" devoted to myeloma.
